Common questions
How far in advance should we book a wedding DJ?+
As with our other services, popular Saturdays in May–October fill up 8–12 months out. Off-season Saturdays and weekday weddings are easier to slot in 3–6 months out, though earlier is always better for your first-choice date.
Will the DJ MC the ceremony and reception, or just play music?+
Both — the DJ handles announcements, introductions, and transitions between moments (processional, toasts, first dance, cake cutting) in addition to building the music for each part of the day.
Can we send a song list, or a do-not-play list?+
Yes. A pre-event planning call covers must-plays, do-not-plays, and the general vibe you want for cocktail hour versus the dance floor, so the DJ is reading the room with your preferences already in mind.
Does the venue need to provide sound equipment?+
No — sound and lighting equipment sized to your venue and guest count is included. Just confirm with your venue that a standard power outlet is accessible near the setup area.
