Wedding FAQ
The things couples ask us most, from travel and arrival times to how guest illustrations and live painting work. Don't see yours? Ask us.
Book as soon as you have a date! Weekends fill up fast, especially during busy seasons. We do take last-minute bookings when we're available.
Every booking includes 30 minutes of round-trip travel from Sun Prairie, WI. Beyond that, travel time is billed at the artist's hourly rate. We're happy to travel farther.
Yes. Pairing services is common, like guest illustrations at cocktail hour plus face painting for the kids' table, and it cuts down on wait times for your guests.
Yes. When a wedding is bigger than one artist can cover, we bring in additional artists and apprentices so everyone gets a turn. A rough guest count helps us plan.
Yes. We face paint for flower girls, ring bearers, and the kids' table. It's usually best from age 3, and littler guests can get a small flower on the arm instead. Regular face paint lasts the day and washes off with soap and water. Glitter tattoos are also popular, with kids and the bridal party alike, and last 3-7 days (we never put them on faces).
Yes. Our paints and glitters are FDA-approved, cosmetic-grade products, and some are also EEC-approved. Our glitter tattoo adhesive is skin-safe. If a guest has a specific allergy, just mention it when you book.
Guests pose for a quick photo, then go right back to the party while the artist paints from it in a watercolor fashion-illustration style. Plan on 6-8 portraits an hour (12-16 people), usually with two guests in each. An attendant photographs each guest, and anyone not painted at the event is painted at home afterward. They're hand-painted, never digital, and every guest takes home the original.
The main composition is painted live at your wedding. The painting is finished in the studio and usually delivered 2-4 weeks after the wedding.
Yes, through our sister brand 77 Photo Booths: an open-air print booth (prints in about 15 seconds), the black-and-white GLAM! booth, or a 360 video booth. An attendant is always on site, and you get an online gallery of every photo after the event. Props and unlimited prints are available as add-ons.
The Reception and The Full Night include a 30-minute planning call; for The Set it's an add-on. Your must-play and do-not-play lists are honored, and you choose between taking live requests or sticking to a set list. The DJ also MCs on every package, from a few announcements to running the whole night.
Artists arrive 15 minutes before the start time for standard events, and 30 minutes early for larger events that need a tent set up.
We bring everything: table, chair, supplies, and signs. You provide an open space with good lighting, and for outdoor weddings, ideally some shade. For an outdoor DJ setup, we need a standard 20-amp circuit and a covered spot.
Every wedding is quoted on the services and time you choose. Tell us about your day and we'll reply within 1-2 business days with availability and a quote. For face painting and balloon twisting, apprentice artists are available at lower rates.
We only sign a contract if your venue or organization needs one; otherwise we arrange the details by email.
